Industrial Designer

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out various signage and design projects. You will need to demonstrate a versatile skill set encompassing technical and design tasks, as well as the ability to think quickly and adapt effectively. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Site survey – photography, etc.
  • Analysis and planning / routing scheme.
  • Production of signage location plans.
  • Development of message schedules (Excel).
  • Preparation of technical and conceptual drawings (sections and details).
  • Technical design – 2D illustration, 3D modelling, photomontages, etc.
  • Participate in diagnostic reviews, signage analysis and design development.
  • Mock-up and 2D illustrations (pictograms, key plan, signage messages, etc.)
  • Graphic design and layout – Graphic message books and presentation documents
  • Layout of presentation documents (InDesign / Illustrator)

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree in industrial design, architecture, urban planning, environmental design, or another relevant discipline.
  • Expertise in the following softwares: InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop, Solidworks.
    Office 365 : Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural plans.
  • Self-reliance, time management and organizational skills.
  • 3D design and/or BIM software skills would be an asset.
  • Rigorous and eager to produce quality work.
  • Ability to manage several projects at the same time and to work under pressure.
  • Ability to manage and collaborate with teams.
  • Experience in wayfinding and signage is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit would be an asset.
  • Bilingualism would be an asset.
