New Hospital Complex (NHC) of the CHU de Québec
One of Canada’s top 100 infrastructure projects. The new hospital complex in Québec is one of the largest healthcare projects in the province. The New Hospital Complex (NHC) aims to consolidate the activities of L’Hôtel-Dieu de Québec and the Enfant-Jésus Hospital on a single site, creating an ultra-modern hospital centre at the cutting edge of technology. The NHC will become a reference centre for several specialties, including nephrology, neurology, oncology, traumatology, and burns. The new complex will span over 200,000 m².
ARIUM was mandated to develop the wayfinding and signage strategy for the entire project. Carried out in close collaboration with various stakeholders (architects, managers, medical teams, and users), the signage program combines functionality and aesthetics. Seamlessly integrated with the architectural approach, the signage was designed to provide a clear, intuitive, and welcoming experience for users, while meeting the demands of a complex hospital environment.
