National Capital Commission — Interpretation and wayfinding
The National Capital Commission (NCC) is tasked with beautifying and promoting the capital through architectural and urban interventions. It is responsible for the management of nearly 175 hectares of land, which includes wooded areas, urban parks, walkways, public spaces, and much more.
Arium Design was commissioned to design a set of interpretive and signage elements for five major parks. The goal was to significantly enhance the visitor experience by creating aesthetic, minimalist installations that are seamlessly integrated into their surroundings. The parks included in the project were: Cataraqui Estate, Parc de l’Amérique-Française, Parc de la Francophonie, Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale and Parc du Bois-de-Coulonge.
For this project, Arium Design took charge of the industrial and graphic design of the interventions, including the creation of illustrations and detailed plans. The project was executed as a turnkey solution: the firm coordinated the manufacturing and installation work in collaboration with specialized manufacturing partners.
