Casino de Montréal – Ambiance
Developing the outdoor lighting plan and illuminating the new marquee and main entrance
An emblematic building on Île Notre-Dame, the Casino de Montréal is housed in the former France and Québec pavilions built for Expo 67. With its colourful effects, the human-scale illumination of the modern outdoor spaces brings new energy to the arrival experience for visitors.
The Casino’s spectacular decor, revamped architecture and fun and interactive gaming areas are reflected in the lighting design for the outdoor spaces and entrance. With lighting integrated into the furniture, interior design, water feature and marquee, the illumination seeks to spark wonder through its dynamic effects.
The renewed architecture and the lighting of the new 25-metre marquee made up of 14 microperforated polygons create a sparkling envelope that links the interior and exterior. The lighting also ensures the safety of employees and visitors. “
