Parc Jean-Drapeau
Located in the heart of the St. Lawrence River in Montréal, Parc Jean-Drapeau attract nearly 11 million visitors each year. Extending over 268 hectares, the park is made up of two islands, Île Sainte-Hélène and Île Notre-Dame, and offers recreational, sports and cultural facilities and natural and urban installations.
As part of the project to unify the islands and align the brand identity, Arium was mandated to develop a signage signature for Parc Jean-Drapeau. The team developed a master plan for the signs and a multi-year rollout timeline based on the park’s current and future needs.
In addition to the modular and flexible signage system, which can display time-sensitive information for the various events taking place on site, signs were designed to reflect the essence of each island and create a fluid and pleasant visitor experience. The master plan helped to structure the park’s signage to make it easier to get around and highlight each island’s attractions. The rollout timeline made it possible to progressively implement the various components of the signage system according to the priorities set out in the master plan.
